Essex,
Massachusetts racer Dan Lane never sat behind the wheel prior to 2005,
when he began to make his mark on the Florida shorttracks. Lane made
his start in open wheel Modifieds at Orlando Speedworld, Ocala, and
New Smyrna.
He
later made the transition to dirt, racing in the Street Stock division
at Volusia and Putnam.
2007
brought Lane's racing career to the Northeast. With the Lane Family's
years of involvement in Supermodified racing, there was no doubt that
Dan would be piloting a Supermodified!
His
first year aboard a 350 Supermodified at Lee U.S.A. Speedway went
very well, as did his 2008 season which found Lane coming only 17
pts. shy of taking 2nd place in the points chase. Already a feature
winner, he's proved he's got what it takes to get the #13 to the front!
Lane
has done a little travelling this year as well, taking his first laps
behind the wheel of a few ISMA Big Block events aboard the Lane Racing
#9!
